Bonsai originated in China and dates back to the Tang Dynasty, with a history of over 1300 years. Bonsai is a microcosm of natural scenery, a comprehensive form of art that combines garden cultivation, literature, painting, and other arts into one.

Sichuan’s bonsai stands out among Chinese bonsai. Most bonsai emphasizes the concentration of nature in a space between heaven and earth. Although Sichuan bonsai is based on nature, it focuses on shaping an unnatural image. By using various tying techniques and polishing with time, the tree body is twisted, conveying the understanding and attitude of Sichuan people towards life and the world, with a unique sense of rhythm.
