Bonsai originated in China and dates back to the Tang Dynasty, with a history of over 1300 years. Bonsai is a microcosm of natural scenery, a comprehensive form of art that combines garden cultivation, literature, painting, and other arts into one.

There are mainly five schools of tree bonsai art in China: Lingnan School represented by Guangzhou, Sichuan School represented by Chengdu, Su School represented by Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, Yang School represented by Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province, and Shanghai School represented by Shanghai.
Sichuan’s bonsai stands out among Chinese bonsai. Most bonsai emphasizes the concentration of nature in a space between heaven and earth. Although Sichuan bonsai is based on nature, it focuses on shaping an unnatural image. By using various tying techniques and polishing with time, the tree body is twisted, conveying the understanding and attitude of Sichuan people towards life and the world, with a unique sense of rhythm.
How to better appreciate Sichuan bonsai? Our founder Sissi comes from a horticultural family in the famous hometown of Garden plants and in China – Wenjiang, Chengdu, specially from the original place of Sichuan bonsai, Shouan Town . Since childhood, she has been exposed to the cultivation of bonsai and various plants, and has a unique experience and understanding.
